THE TELEVISION PUBLICITY EXECUTIVES COMMITTEE
Announces the 2003 TPEC AWARDS
The TPEC Awards, first presented in 1998, recognize publicity departments which execute outstanding publicity campaigns for network and cable prime time programming for series, mini-series, movies and specials. Winners are publicized and honored at a special reception.

Eight Categories to Enter:

  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a Returning Primetime Broadcast TV Series
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a Returning Primetime Cable TV Series
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a New Primetime Broadcast TV Series
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a New Primetime Cable TV Series
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a Primetime Broadcast Network Movie or Miniseries
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a Primetime Cable Network Movie or Miniseries
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a Syndicated Series
  • Outstanding Publicity Campaign for a Primetime Network, Cable or Syndicated Special

Official Rules & Procedures

PURPOSE OF THE TPEC AWARDS:
To recognize the excellence in television publicity in a given season by agencies, networks and production companies.

PERIOD OF ELIGIBILITY:
June 1, 2002 – May 31, 2003

COMPETITION PROCEDURES AND TIMETABLE:
- Initial Submissions -
• Entry info and forms available at www.lancecoach.com, or call (213) 680-7805 to request a fax.
Entry submission forms must be e-mailed to TPECEntries@aol.com, by May 31, 2003
• You may submit as many campaigns as you like for consideration.

- First Round -
• Judges will select finalists from submissions in each category.

- Finals -
• Finalists in each category will be announced on June 23, 2003
• Finalists in each category must submit the following information:

a) names of publicity team
b) detailed strategy/campaign, status report and/or clip packet -- by July 11, 2003

• Winners will be selected by blue ribbon judging panels and announced in the Fall.

WHO MAY ENTER:
Anyone who works in the field of television public relations may submit.

JUDGING CRITERIA:
Final judging will be based on intention, relevance and effectiveness of strategy; quality of entry; and evidence of results. All decisions of judges in this competition are final.
