Twice yearly LW Communications
produces the television industry's official national media directory,
called "The TPEC GUIDE."
WHAT
IS THE TPEC GUIDE?
The TPEC GUIDE is
the media directory used by most publicists in the television industry.
It has been in use for more then 17 years.
It is produced
by and for the 55 members of TPEC,
the Television Publicity Executives Committee. They are the senior
publicity executives (mostly Sr. VP's) at television broadcast and
cable networks, producing studios, and major PR firms which have
television divisions, along with a select group if distinguished
independent television publicists in Los Angeles and New York.
All the publicists
at ABC,CBS, Fox, NBC, PBS, UPN, and at HBO, Showtime, and dozens
of other cable networks use this GUIDE daily.
Approximately 500 TPEC
members (including their staffs) use the guide daily, along with
some 400 others. TPEC
makes the TPEC GUIDE available
for sale beyond just the Committee. 900 copies of each issue are
printed and distributed in the television and entertainment industries.
Most publicists rely heavily on The TPEC
GUIDE, use it daily, and refer to is as their 'bible.'
